My wellbeing and safety

Transition means change and change can be...

Speak Out, Stay Safe!

I am Worried!

We all get worried sometimes and this makes us feel unhappy. Worry is sometimes called anxiety. Here are some resources that might help you if you are feeling worried or anxious. The most important thing to do when you feel like this, is to talk to someone as they WILL be able to help you.

Sharing a worry is really helpful.

Trusted adults are the best people to speak to. At home, this might be a parent or relative at school this might be your teacher.

All school adults are trained to know how to help you if you are worried about something, they will do everything they can to help you feel happy and safe. It really doesn't matter which school adult you speak to, it doesn't have to be your own class teacher.

Mrs Clayton and Mrs Pearson have special training that helps them to help the grown-ups help you, they are called Designated Safeguarding Leads - that's a bit complicated so we call them DSLs for short! As well as helping the grown-ups in school, they can help your parents too AND you too!

Childline 0800 1111

If you would like to speak to someone you don't know, that's absolutely fine too. Here is the number for Childline, they are very special people that are trained to help you. They can answer the phone at any time or day and you can contact them online too.

Staying safe and happy online!

This is a book we use in school, perhaps a grown-up at home could read this to you too!
