Our Busy Week wb 5.10.2020

We've been very busy this week, talking with the children about their Development Deals and how they feel about being back at school now.  We've also done quite a lot of work around place value in Maths and we even had a go at answering some Reasoning questions. In Literacy we continued with our work on Dear Children of the Earth and enjoyed a game of Adverb Charades. We also watched The Big Ant-Bullying Assembly 2020 and put up our hands to stop bullying- see the picture below.

Stop Bullying by putting up your hand!

Our Busy Week 14.9.2020

We've done lots of team building activities this week  focusing  on the importance of connecting with others- one of the 5 ways to wellbeing.  In addition we have started to do "proper" lessons- Guided Reading , Topic work, Times Tables  and  some others. We are currently assessing spellings but your children will be bringing home 5 spellings weekly ( on a Monday) to be learnt for Friday. These are words from High Frequency word lists that all children need to know how to spell so your help in learning them at home would be greatly appreciated!

Our Breakfast Club children started to make a KNEX trail across the playground- the rest of the class helped to complete it by being "fetchers" . They gave pieces to the " connectors". Some children even counted how many pieces we used- the result was over 1000!  Do look at the pictures below.

 Our Busy Week wb 7.9.2020

It's been so lovely to see the children back in school this week. We have been busy getting back into the swing of things, talking about what it was like during lockdown and taking part in lots of collaborative activities. Please look at the photos to get an idea of some of the things we've been up to.
