Welcome toHensall Community PrimarySchoolHigh expectations for all, by all.

The children really enjoy watching Numberblocks as part of our maths work in school.

We have watched the programmes about numbers 1 to 10. Why not watch the next programmes about 11, 12 and the teen numbers together and talk about the number in the programme and how it is made up. Can you find 2 numbers which make the programme number e.g. 10 + 1 = 11, 6 + 5 = 11? Can you draw a part whole model and use pasta, Lego bricks, 1p coins etc to find ways to make the number.

Can you find the number 1 more and 1 less? Why not start with 11 objects. Roll a dice and take that number of objects away. How many have you got left?

Can you count to 20 and then back to 0?
