Literacy

Below are some Reading, Writing, Spelling, Punctuation & Grammar activities for your child to complete. It would be helpful if you could support your child when completing these activities and that they complete the level that they are most confident with. Thank you!

18.05.20- Week 7- Literacy Home Learning

11.05.20- Week 6

Welcome to Week 6 of our online Literacy learning. By now, I am hoping that you have completed your research on our class author Elizabeth Laird and have produced some wonderful posters. If you could email me this then this would be great so that they can be published onto our school photos page. Below are the activities for you to complete for Week 6. Good luck!

04.05.2020- Week 5

Please continue with this- Research Our Class Author!

Our class book for this term is 'The Fastest Boy in the World 'by Elizabeth Laird. We also used one of Elizabeth's books in our first topic called 'Song of the Dolphin Boy'. I would like you to complete some research into Elizabeth Laird and create your own posters about her. You may be able to remember some facts about her from the Autumn term, if not just simply type her name into Google and find out more. This information must be presented in the style of a poster, however you can design it however you would like. This activity will also be available in Week 3, so take your time and collect as much research as possible.

If you are struggling for ideas, why not try some of the questions below, such as:

Where and when was Elizabeth Laird born?

How many books has she written?

What was her education?

27.04.2020- Week 4

Reading Activities

Take a look at the reading activities below. Click on the link below for a fun animated video all about Olympian Usain Bolt. Once, you have completed this, complete the reading comprehension about him too.
