Music - this lesson follows on from last Friday's music lesson which you can find on the Get Creative page Fri 8 January. If you didn't do that, you might like to do that one first.
Listen again to Vaughan Williams piece of music, The Lark Ascending. The composer was inspired by the lark and the beautiful countryside surrounding him. I've put the audio file at the bottom of this entry.
Can you take a walk, or go out into your garden? Be very quiet and listen carefully. What sounds can you hear? Can you use your voice to imitate the sounds you hear? If you have an ipad or phone you could try recording some of the sounds - or make some by scrunching leaves or scraping icy puddles.
Back inside - visit the BBC ten pieces page by following the link at the bottom of this page and watch the video of an orchestra playing The Lark Ascending. Which instrument did Vaughan Williams choose for the lark. Do you think this was a good choice? Why? Talk to an adult about your thoughts.
